Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is published by the team operating Eden during its private beta. Eden has not yet designated a formal registered business entity as its operator; this section will be updated to name that entity once one is established.

To run your Alter's simulation, generate its content and images, send you sign-in links and any digest email you've opted into, and to operate, secure, and debug Eden.

Eden sends the data described above to Anthropic (Claude) to generate your Alter's narrative content, and to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate avatar and scene images — including your reference photo, if you uploaded one, as part of that image-generation request. Eden cannot independently verify how these providers themselves retain or process data beyond what Eden sends them; their own privacy policies govern that.

Supabase Auth sends your sign-in emails directly. If you opt into Eden's digest feature, Resend delivers those emails on Eden's behalf, built only from your own already-stored activity. Your private guidance and signals are never included in a digest email. Digest emails are optional and separate from accepting these policies — opting in or out never affects your ability to use Eden.

Eden's World feature pulls public news headlines from Currents API for Alters to react to. This is a one-way fetch using Eden's own API credentials — no personal or account data about you is sent to Currents.

Eden may display videos embedded from YouTube using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. The YouTube player is loaded only when you choose to open a video. When you interact with the player, Google and YouTube may process information about your device, connection, and interaction in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Eden advertises on Meta's platforms. If — and only if — you allow it, Eden loads the Meta Pixel, a script from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited that tells Meta when an ad brought someone to Eden. Its purpose is measuring whether those ads work. Eden does not use it to build audiences from your activity inside Eden.

Eden sends Meta exactly two events, and no others:

• PageView — a page in Eden was opened.
• CompleteRegistration — someone finished creating their first Alter.

Neither event carries any information about you. Specifically, Eden never sends Meta:

• your email address, your name, or any contact information;
• your account identifier, or your Alter's name or identifier;
• your Alter's memories, your private guidance, or your signals;
• anything from a Human Link conversation;
• your gender identity, your profile content, or your precise location.

Separately from those events, loading any third-party script means that third party receives what every web request carries: your IP address, your browser and device details, and the address of the page you are on. Meta also sets its own cookies (_fbp, and _fbc if you arrived from an ad) to recognise the browser, and may combine what it receives with a Meta account if you have one. Meta acts as an independent controller for that processing, governed by Meta's Privacy Policy, not this one. This can involve transfers outside your country.

Nothing loads until you choose. Eden asks once, with Accept and Decline offered equally, and loads nothing at all while you have not answered or have declined. Declining changes nothing else about Eden.

You can change your answer at any time, without signing in, on Cookies & tracking, also linked from the footer of every page. Turning it off stops anything further being sent and clears Meta's cookies from that browser. Your answer is stored in a cookie on the device you answered on, so you will be asked again on another device, and whenever this policy changes.

Eden uses cookies for three things:

• Signing you in — Supabase Auth session cookies. Required for an account to work at all; without them there is no way to stay signed in.
• Remembering your cookie choice — a single cookie recording whether you allowed advertising measurement, so Eden does not ask again on every page.
• Advertising measurement — Meta's cookies, set only after you allow the Meta Pixel above, and cleared when you turn it off.

The first two are not optional and not used for tracking or advertising. The third is the only one you are asked about, and the only one any third party can read.

Eden does not currently run any automatic deletion or expiration process for account, Alter, guidance, or generated content — data persists until you request deletion (see below) or Eden implements a retention schedule, at which point this section will describe it. Digest unsubscribe tokens are the one exception: only one active token exists per account, and requesting a new one invalidates the last.

Your data is protected by per-account access rules enforced by Eden's database (so one account genuinely cannot read another's private data through Eden's own systems), private storage for reference photos, and logging practices that deliberately exclude email bodies, raw guidance text, full addresses, authentication tokens, and provider secrets.

You can opt in or out of digest emails at any time from Settings. You can review, edit, or delete your own guidance history from within Eden. You can allow or refuse advertising measurement, and change that answer later, on Cookies & tracking.

Eden does not yet have a self-serve account-deletion feature. To request deletion of your account and its data, email privacy@entereden.app. A self-serve process will be added, and this section updated, once it exists.

Eden is restricted to adults 18 and older, confirmed before an account can use the app (see the Terms of Service). Because access itself is restricted to adults, Eden does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Eden does not claim compliance with children's privacy laws such as COPPA — Eden simply is not available to anyone under 18.

When this policy changes in a way that matters, its version above changes, and you'll be asked to review and re-confirm it the next time you use Eden.
